5B Maverick wins Australian Financial Review Energy Award
28 October, 2024 - 5B has been named winner of the category of Innovation Challenger in The Australian Financial Review Energy Awards.
This award recognises strategies and initiatives in the energy sector that significantly advance innovation and contribute to industry advancements.
5B’s Maverick technology is an incredibly fast way to deploy utility scale solar, on a very small footprint, with minimal manual intervention. It addresses key pain points in the energy transition such as time, labour, and land scarcity.

The 5B Maverick is currently deployed on over 100 projects in 9 countries, including at Liontown’s lithium mine, and Bellevue Gold’s mine, both in Western Australia, where 5B has already secured 30% of the off-grid mining market share. 5B is also currently in delivery of a series of projects, including a 69MW project in the US, its largest project to date.
